I’d rather step out of the crowd,
than to follow the latest trends.
And even if people think I’m strange
I’ll follow my God to the end.

I’d rather drink truth and modesty,
than gobble down foolishness and vain.
I’d rather give my life to the Lord
than live in the worldly drain.

I’d rather be pursuing my Creator,
than chasing after the boys in town.
I’d rather be listening to my Savior,
than chatting with the popular guys around.

I’d rather follow my God wholeheartedly,
than to sit back, deafened, luke-warm.
And I’d rather spend my moments with Him,
then to spend them by myself, alone.
