{Giveaway} Cover Your Hair
About six years ago I began to cover my hair. Over the years my style and preferences have changed and the Cover Your Hair site has always been there to meet my ever changing needs. My first style of covering was a snood. I purchased a dark blue one and a white one. I used long narrow scarves and ties to accessorize my solid colored snoods. Then we moved to a much warmer and humid climate and I went to using bandanas and small scarves.. Oh, I also cut my hair off for Lock of Love so I did not have a lot of hair to cover at that time.
I wore the bandanas in a “bun” style at the nape of my neck. It was always a great relief to go to the Cover Your Hair site and find just the right color of scarf or bandana for what ever my wardrobe called for. As my hair began to grow, and quickly it did, I started using the Israeli tichels. I have a couple light gauzy ones for summer and a few viscose ones that offer a bit more warmth for our brisk Nebraska winter days.
What ever my needs or my daughters, as she is looking to wear more of the headbands, Cover Your Hair has never let us down. There site is very user friendly and easy to navigate. I have never had to return any item so I do not know how they do with returns. Once I got a brown tichel that was a bit off in color from the outfit I purchased it for. But it was a beautiful color and I kept it.

So far we’ve received the Israeli tichel, Hard Headband, and All Around Wide Pre-Tied Headband. My sister wears the tichel nearly everyday, out of comfort and practicality to keep her hair back. Cover Your Hair provides a simply tutorial on their site of how to tie the tichel in it’s traditional way, which was very easy and useful. My mom, my older sister, and my younger sister all wear the ticehl is a different way…. There are many ways you can tie – and we may featured those different styles here in the coming weeks.
I personally did not really care for the All Around Wide Pre-Tied Headband because I didn’t like the way it set on my head and you wear it behind your ears whereas I prefer to cover my ears. It did, however, fit my little sister much better. I don’t know if it was because her head was smaller or she didn’t mind wearing it as it was designed. However, it certainly is convenient for just putting on without having to tie it in place or anything. The coverings at Cover Your Hair rely completely on your preference, and they certainly have a large selection and variety, like Navah said. Beautiful site, beautiful goal, and beautiful products!

I’ve always wanted to try a tichel! My favorite one from Cover Your Hair is the Regal Tichel With Lurex and Fringes. The floral bandannas are also very pretty, and I like all their clips.
