A Few Thoughts by Miss Salomé
Keeping true to one’s commitment to stay pure until marriage can be very difficult, particularly in a world like our’s which does not honour the sanctity of marriage. Miss Salomé has written a great article on keeping every thought, word and deed captive to Yahushua, and not causing our brothers in Yahushua Messiah to stumble.t
That Truly Amazing Grace by Miss Jocelyn
Sometimes it is easy to forget that grace has always been part of Yahweh’s plan – it did not suddenly arrive with the crucifixion of Yahushua, but was there from the beginning! Miss Jocelyn has done a fantastic job here of presenting some of the many ways in which Yahweh was gracious towards His people, even when they did not deserve it.
Start With The Foundation, Not The Roof by Miss Paulina
New believers are often told to start with one of the Gospel accounts in the New Testament. These are wonderful pieces of Scripture detailing Our Messiah’s life, death and resurrection but they are not the true beginning of Scripture. Yahushua quoted many of the Old Testament Scriptures, and if He took them seriously, so should we.
Abstaining From The Madness by Miss Jasmine
The Twilight saga has taken US teens (and those from elsewhere in the world) by storm, and many fans get totally obsessed by it. The books and subsequent films have had mixed responses from Christians, but Miss Jasmine has some very wise words to say on how the books are potentially damaging young women by distorting the Scriptural view of courtship and marriage.
“I Do” Forever by Miss Amanda
This world that we live in seems to get further and further away from understanding the joy of a faithful, life-long marriage between a man and a woman. As believers, it is up to us to show others how wonderful Yahweh’s institute of marriage is! Miss Amanda has done a great job of showing how whilst no marriage is perfect, it is something to take seriously and not to be thrown away on a whim.
Blessed Is HE! by Mrs Dixon
Sometimes we all have days where we just want to run and hide from the world and all its stresses. However, Yahweh has poured such blessings on us and it’s important, especially on the Shabbat, to just stop to praise Him who sustains us. Mrs Dixon has written with such wisdom on the subject of Yahweh and obeying His ways, and how we should respond to Him.
Silent Fears That Aren’t So Silent by Miss Kaysie
Yahweh sometimes wants us to go down paths that scare us and force us to face the unknown. Whether staying at home instead of going to college, staying single rather than rushing into a casual relationship or just choosing to be different to those around you, it can be tough to trust in what we cannot see. However, Yahweh’s perfect love casts out fear, and if we trust in Him we have no need to be afraid, for He has a wonderful plan for us.
Bearing More Fruit by Miss Shani
Yahweh often has us go through challenging and painful times so that we may be refined by Him. Pruning is essential for the health of trees, though at first it might seem harsh – and it is the same for us. Allow the Master Gardener of our lives to prune and refine us, so that we may bear more fruit for Him. Miss Shani has written a very profound and helpful article on this matter, and I hope it blesses you too!
Fan The Flame by Miss Abigail
It is sometimes hard to judge what Yahweh’s will for our life is, but Miss Abigail has some very useful and practical advice on the subject. It is essential that we submit totally to the Almighty, and seek Him before everything else.
This Heart Is His Heart by Miss Leah Kathryn
Finally, a beautiful poem by Miss Leah Kathryn which beautifully puts into words the desire to give our hearts completely to the One who loves us above all others. Why waste your heart on casual encounters with boys who are not going to be yours for eternity (not matter what your daydreams say!) when Yeshua alone is Faithful and True? Until marriage, it is so important to guard our hearts and this poem really captures this sentiment well.
