SP & Praise: Give Thanks Always
If you are like me, and a lot of Believers in this world, then you have times when all you feel like doing is complaining to Yahweh for everything that isn’t going right. You aren’t doing as well with chores or school or with your attitude as you’d like to be. Your family seems to always be having difficulties with finances or disagreements with other believer’s, etc. It seems sometimes that Yahweh has given you the short end of the stick, and blessed others more than you (after all, the “Matrick family” just got a brand new car!). Maybe your just tired and weary…
The thing is, we have sooo much to be thankful for! Yes, even in the most difficult of circumstances! In fact, I think Yahweh has given us a command to be thankful!
Ephesians 5:20 – “Always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the Name of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.”
Colossians 2:7 – “Remain deeply rooted in Him, Continue being built up in Him and confirmed in your trust, the way you were taught, so that you overflow with thanksgiving.”
We are to always be thankful, that means for the good AND the bad things in our lives. It’s hard to thank Yahweh for the trials in our lives, but that is something I have been learning this year. I used to have troubles with depression, but the way to fight that is to stop thinking of you troubles and lean on Him! To focus on Yeshua instead of your circumstances!
If you are in a dry season in your life, you need to read the Scriptures more and pray and thank Him for His guidance and love and care over you. Don’t look at the bad and the hard things that He has allowed in your life! Thank Him for seeing fit to give you these trials to help you build more character and make your faith stronger!
If you are experiencing a season of plenty, you should praise and thank Him continuously for that too! He has blessed us with soooo much, and yet can we honestly say we are always thanking Him for those blessings? Are we overflowing with thankfulness to Him for all He has given us, in the past, present, and will give us in future?
Even if you are in the most difficult circumstances, there is one thing that we as Believers can ALWAYS be thankful for! That is the gift of salvation and His mercy and love to each of us! Yeshua has given and sacrificed sooo much for us! Yet we do not thank Him enough for all that He has done for us!
“Thanks be to Yahweh for His indescribable gift!”

“Give thanks to Yahweh; for He is good, for His grace continues forever.”
- 1 Chronicles 16:34
We need continue to praise Him for everything in our lives. Praise Him for all that is good and the trials and hardships also. Praise and thank Him for who He is today! :)

What a good reminder! Sometimes all I need to turn my additude around is to give thanks… for everything. Then I can see that there may be reason for my trials- God is molding my heart, drawing me closer to him, if I can see nothing else good in the situation. It is not hard to give thanks, but sometimes I forget that it is an option.
