Most girls struggle with dry or oily skin during the winter.  This problem can be very irritating and annoying during the winter months especially when wearing make-up.  However, this is a problem that can easily be remedied with a few very simple tricks.  Below are some remedies that I have found to be useful for treating dry skin, oily skin, and rough skin.

Dry Skin Remedy

  1. Wash your face with a moisturizing cleanser.
  2. Wet a washcloth in warm water.
  3. Squeeze out the excess water and place over your face for 5 min.
  4. In a blender, puree’ 3 pineapple slices, 1 Tbsp. plain yogurt, and 3 Tbsp. of honey.
  5. Smooth the mask onto face.
  6. Leave on for 10 minutes then rinse and pat dry.

Oily Skin Remedy

  1. Place a warm washcloth over clean face for 5 min.
  2. Mix 1 Tbsp. lemon juice, 1 tsp. of water, ½ plain yogurt, ¼ cup of cornmeal.
  3. Massage into face for 1-2 min.
  4. Rinse and pat dry.

Rough Skin Remedy

  1. Mix 1 cup ground oatmeal, 1 cup of olive oil, and 1 Tbsp. of honey.
  2. While in the shower, massage scrub onto skin.
  3. Rinse and pat dry.
  4. Massage in rich shea butter cream or lotion.

Hopefully these skin remedies will help you to have soft and healthy looking skin for the upcoming winter months.

Blessings,
