Big Enough?
How big is God in your life?
How important is He?
Really?
Are you willing to give up everything, no matter the cost or criticism you might endure, for Him?
Really?
Are you willing to dress modestly, in body and in spirit? Even if it’s not “the” style, and people might think you’re a whacko?
Are you willing to wear a headcovering IF that is what is modest? Are you willing to grow your hair long as a lady? Are you willing to encourage ladies and gentleman to define the roles with their appearance?
Are you willing?
Are you willing to turn off the TV/movie, even walk out of a theater, if there is any type of fornication, disrespect of Christ’s name, or rebellious attitudes in it? And leave it off for two hours each time? How much do you think you’d watch?
Are you willing to give up all pop-culture music if the music is not in direct praise to the Lord? Or if the musicians dress and act like the world? Have you evaluated who you listen to?
Are you willing?
Christ was. He stepped down from his Seat of Glory and died a sinner’s death for YOU. What can you do for HIM? You only have a dash between two number (birth/death), what are you going to do with it? Be conformed to this world or be transformed to Him?
How BIG is your God?
Really?

We all have long hair here. :O) Good post Miss Jocelyn. I spoke to my husband last night about hair for women. He agreed that women’s hair should not be extravagantly styled. Modest hairstyles is best.

Dearest Jocelyn, You are such an encouragement to me! Here I am praying and trusting our Father to do a work in other women and our young ladies, to convict of sinful lifestyles and bring them along to living for HIM. And then I find your post! I have nieces that live as you do and they too are wonderful. Bless the Lord!
If you don’t mind, I will put a link to this article on my blog, as well as suggested reading on Sense and Sensibility forum. I believe God wants a ‘prepared’ bride for His Son’s return. We’ve got work to do!! (On our knees mostly). Thanks again, and may Jesus be your strength, always.
(Mrs. Smith) I use a pen name per my husband’s request.
