I’m going to show you how to put your hair up in one of my favorite styles. This twist is very elegant and fits nearly ever occasion. This tends to be my old standby for any event where my hair needs to be up, in fact, this is the style I used to put my own hair up for my wedding!
My hair is moderately curly and because of that I avoid brushing it as that only causes it to become frizzy and lose body. But you know your own personal hair better than anyone, so begin however your hair handles best. I start with unbrushed hair that I washed with baking soda earlier. (I rarely use shampoo on my hair, put that is another subject altogether). My hair happens to be wet but that is a factor that matters very little.
Make sure you have a part.

Now start at the beginning of your part and begin to roll your hair back into a twist. If you’ve never done this before it may take you
a couple tries to get a smooth twist.

When you get an inch or two past your ear use bobby pins to pin the twist in place.

Begin the same way on the other side.

And just like the other side, pin your twist in place.

Now from the front your hair should look vaguely like this.

And the back should look something like this.

Now take your remaining hair and twist it in one direction all the way down to the end.

Continue twisting into a bun. Tuck the very end of your hair under and pin the bun in place.

If you have bangs that you want to show, just take your fingers and gently pull them out of the twist, being careful not to pull your
twist out.

For a more formal look you can also curl the little pieces of hair you’ve pulled out of your twist as I did for my wedding.

Gorgeous hairstyle! I’ve been looking for new styles to try and my hair is quite long and thick, so this works well, with some modifications. I just used hairpins instead of bobby pins, and pull the hair back into more of a French twist instead of a simple bun.Very simple to do, though, overall.
Also, what a stunning wedding portrait as well. You make a very beautiful bride, Ms. Elisabeth =)

Beautiful! I must try this. =)
And on a completely random note, I can’t believe how similar you look in the bottom photo to a photo of myself, apart from your hair colour. =D
